What are MANEKI-SAN's Business Hours?

Monday to Friday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Sunday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Online orders can be submitted seven days a week. All online inquiries will receive a response within two business days. Order with in-stock items will be processed and shipped the following business day from when payment is received.

MANEKI-SAN Pick Up location will be closed during Canadian Statutory Holidays.

What's the Payment Method for Orders?

PayPal - All PayPal payments are processed immediately upon submission. For any support regarding PayPay's services, please contact PayPal directly.

Credit Card (including express checkout (ShopPay, Google Wallet, Apply Pay, Android Pay) – Credit card payments are processed immediately upon submission. Payments are processed via Online Payment Gateway System.

Payment when Picking Up at Maneki-san - One goverment-issued ID is required to pick up your order at Maneki-san. We accept Interact Debit, Visa, and Mastercard Only

How is the Total Amout of an Order Calculated?

The total amount of an order is comprised of the following components:

  • Merchandise Price
  • Shipping & Handling Fee
  • Local Taxes (if purchased within Canada)

International Import Fees/Taxes are determined by your country’s government if purchased from outside of Canada and if shipping from Canada to another country, thus this amount is not available at online checkout.

Will you re-stock sold out items?

Due to the nature of collectibles, it is hard to say whether or not we will re-stock on certain items. We recommend placing your orders as soon as possible to avoid missing out on any items.

Do you Provide Gift-Wrapping Services?

Gift-wrapping services are not available. We cannot add birthday cards, gift notes, etc to packages. Also, all items are inspected for quality before leaving our store and because of this we cannot accept requests for "perfect boxes", etc.

Purchases are shipped out of our brick and mortar store in North York, ON.

Standard Shipping: Flat rate shipping of $14.99 within Canada.
Free Shipping: For orders $300+ before tax.

A few exceptions...
Shipping is not available to A.P.O/F.P.O and P.O box addresses due to shipper restrictions.

Once your order is placed, we will fulfill the order within 1-3 business days.

For local pick-up (Free):
Once your order is ready, you will receive a notification that your order is ready for pick up. You can pick up your order from our North York location any time during our operating hours.

What About Customs Declarations?

Items will be declared by their website value and cannot be modified. By law, we must declare all items properly in each invoice.

Depending on the Customer's country of residence and postal service, the Customer may have to pay import duties/taxes when items are received. These taxes are levied by the Customer's local/national government and MANEKI-SAN encourages all customers to research any taxes or fees for receiving parcels from overseas.

Under no circumstances will MANEKI-SAN accept responsibility for import taxes or duties, nor will MANEKI-SAN be able to refund any money paid to receive an order. These fees are paid to the Customer's respective government and are not connected with MANEKI-SAN in any way.

MANEKI-SAN is not able to give specific information regarding a particular country's taxation procedures or fees.

Do I Have to Pay Customs Taxes on an Order?

Customs Taxes and Import Duties are the sole responsibility of our customers.

Please note that all customers should check with their local post office/customs agency to determine what taxes (if any) they may have to pay for importing items.

MANEKI-SAN does not accept responsibility for any import taxes or duties your country may levy on international shipments.

My Order has Shipped, but Why is My Order Taking Too Long to Arrive?

If a customer feels that an order is taking too long, the customer should first obtain the parcel's tracking/delivery confirmation number (provided by MANEKI-SAN) and ask their domestic post office about the parcel's delivery status.

The package may be waiting at the receiver's local post office, or may be in customs at the port of entry. Unregistered SAL shipments may be left outside. Please look for an Undeliverable Shipment notice in your mail box. The notice should state where and when a package is available for pick up.

If your local customs office has detained the package for evaluation, you will need to contact them to discuss the package’s release. Maneki-san can provide tracking numbers if necessary, but cannot intervene with your country’s customs regulations.

What Happens if the Parcel Gets Damaged During Transportation, or Stolen After Delivery?

Our definition of "item" is the actual item inside the box. We do not consider box packaging as the item as the box packaging is there to protect the product. If the box has a ding on it, that is not considered defective.

If the actual item inside the box arrived broken and/or is defective, please contact us by sending an email to customer service and please attach a photo of the damaged item within 7 days of receiving it. We'll work with you to get you a replacement or a store credit.

Maneki-san is NOT responsible for lost or stolen packages. The customer will have to Canada Post to file a claims here.

What is your refund policy?

Due to the unique nature of collectibles, all sales are final for both in-store and online purchases. There will be no return, exchange or refunds.

Why does my order look different from the images shown on the website?

Product images presented by hte manufacturer(s) are for illustrative purposes only. The actual proudct may vary according to the final production of the manufacturer(s).
